Design Team was founded in 2014 to meet the growing demand for Fixed Fee Architectural Design services in the UK. We passionately believe in the importance of good Design – but recognise this process needs to be kept straightforward and affordable.
Our solution to this need is our unique range of Fixed Fee Design Packages. Each package contains everything you require to Tender your scheme to your chosen contractors. The full bundle includes everything from the initial Design options, planning drawings, build regulation pack and the full structural engineering – all in one handy box, and of course with a fully Fixed Fee so you are able to budget from the outset.
With an experienced in-house team of Architectural Designers, we have over 1,000 successful planning consents under our belt. We offer a Free Design Consultation call to get the process started – and in most cases we endeavour to get the Measured Survey booked at your property within 3 days of your instruction. Dan Davidson
Design Director
Dan Davidson
After university Dan began his career as a marketing graduate at
Sainsbury's before moving to Barclays for a period of 10 years,
this culminated in his role as Corporate Director in Business Services.
He designed and built his first extension in 1999 for his family home
in Dulwich. At this stage, it was very much an interest and a hobby
and it wasn’t until he built his second extension five years later
that he recognised there was scope for a company that specialised in
home extensions. His love of property and beautiful design lead him
to set up Design Team, a design studio that focuses on elegant,
architectural inspiring design that is affordable and straightforward.
He is a trustee to the Board of Groundwork London,
which supports local economies to promote sustainability and provide
young people with support and employment opportunities
David Abimbola
Design Manager
David Abimbola
David graduated in Architecture from Kingston University
in London. He oversees the Architectural Design Team
and ensures the smooth running of the Design Process.
He loves travelling the world to see how different cultures
interpret design. His favourite city (so far) is Chandigarh
in India, and he is a keen admirer of Le Corbusier,
a French-Swiss Architect.
Steven Davidson
Architectural Designer
Steven Davidson
Steven graduated in 2013 with a Master’s degree in
Architecture from the University of Edinburgh.
During his year out while at university he worked
as an Architectural Assistant at TBB Architecture.
Steven joined Design Team as an Architectural Assistant
in 2015. His role includes conducting measured surveys
and engaging with design clients, from the initial
client visit through to the survey, and producing
designs schemes and technical CAD drawings.
Arya Sunny
Architectural Designer
Arya Sunny
Arya is originally from India where she studied at
Calicut University. She moved to London several years ago
and has experience in working in a small residential
architectural practice before joining Design Team.
She admires simplicity and using true materials in architecture.
Reem Arafat
Architectural Designer
Reem Arafat
Reem is originally from Syria where she studied
Architecture at Al-Baath University.
Reem moved to Manchester in 2014 and worked in a small
architectural practice before moving to London and joining
Design Team. Reem has always been curious in new
design concepts which prioritise space over objects
and emphasises on people, Culture and Environment.
Reem takes architectural inspiration from the work of
Zaha Hadid, an Iraqi-British architect.
Zaki Abdelshah
Architectural Designer
Zaki Abdelshah
Zaki graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester.
Since graduating he has gained experience working for a
small residential Architectural practice in London
before joining Build team.
Zaki favours simplicity when it comes to design as he likes
clean styles such as Scandinavian and Japanese Architecture.
Zaki other interest are football, sketching during his free
time and discovering new places and learning new cultures.
Zaki future goal is to hopefully become a fully qualified Architect.
Tess Ingle
Design Assistant
Tess Ingle
Tess grew up in Sheffield before moving to Newcastle
to study Interior Architecture at Northumbria University.
After graduating Tess went travelling getting the chance
to explore different cultures and architectural styles
from around the world. She settled in Australia for two years
before recently returning back to the UK to pursue her passion
for architecture and design. Tess is excited by her recent move
to London and enjoys visiting the different boroughs of London,
and seeing what they have to offer, in her spare time.
Callum Buckland
Enquiries & Marketing Assistant
Callum Buckland
Callum has had an interest in architecture since he was young,
building houses out of Lego and visiting National Trust properties
with his family. He studied Architecture at Plymouth University
before moving back to his hometown of Portsmouth where he worked
in a luxury independent hotel as both an Events Assistant and
Duty Manager for almost 3 years. With a move to London at the start
of 2019 Callum decided to mix his passion for architecture with
the customer service and marketing skills he learnt in hospitality
and joined Design Team in early spring.
Melissa Castillo
Graphic Designer
Melissa Castillo
Melissa is a Graphic Designer. Since graduating from
Middlesex University she has been involved in taking part
on several re-branding projects, for small independent
companies as a freelancer, until joining Design Team.
She enjoys going to museums in London, traveling and
learning new languages.
